Meditation...everyone has heard the word. But do we really know exactly what it is? Today, many millions of people practice various forms of meditation. It has become incredibly popular due to its simplicity and calming effects.

Gradually, meditation became more and more popular and began to spread to Asian countries, reaching Japan thanks to the monk Dogen, where he built the Ei heiji temple, where he passed on his knowledge of meditation called Zen (Zuo Shen).

His teachings and traditions are passed down throughout the world today, and the school he founded is still called Soto Zen.
